Join the Latina Leadership Network in their first speaker event of this series for the Fall Semester. Monica Escamilla is the Program Director for Downtown Streets Team in Stanislaus County, where she works to support unhoused individuals. Ms. Escamilla has a background in nonprofit leadership and community engagement, and is passionate about uplifting diverse voices, mentoring emerging leaders, and fostering spaces where people can thrive—both personally and professionally.

The purpose of the speaker series is to provide access to students to powerful role models so they may become inspired by the speakers’ journeys as well as to invite students to contemplate possible futures.
