Banned Books Week: October 5-11 In-Person

Banned Books Week is the national book community's annual celebration of the freedom to read. The 2025 recognition of Banned Books Week is the week of October 5 - 11. Visit the MJC Library & Learning Center to participate in our recognition of Banned Books Week:

  • View our Banned Books Week display featuring banned/challenged books in our collection; consider checking one out.
  • Contribute the title of a favorite Banned Book to the display.
  • Post a photo of yourself with that book on Instagram, tagging @mjclibrary. Use the hashtag #BannedBooksWeek to declare the right to read!

MJC's Library & Learning Center is a forum for information and ideas, and it recognizes that free access to ideas and full freedom of expression are fundamental to the educational process. This year, recognize #BannedBooksWeek with the Library & Learning Center.
